A glitter of wings, Cattle Egrets escort a sole giant neck-high in emerald swamps on the N'gové River, Loango National Park, in the rainy season. The dry season months of June through August drain the wetland considerably, but hold enough moisture to sustain dense concentrations of wildlife.
