FLORIDA FRONTIER: Florida Cowboys

Cowboys transport Lightsey cattle and horses through Lake Kissimmee by barge, from Brahma Island to the mainland. The 3,300-acre island is fully protected by a conservation easement. It supports approximately 80 bald eagles and 28 endangered species.
