Sunset lights the clouds above the salt marsh and palm islands of Withlacoochee Bay, near where the Withlacoochee River flows into the Gulf of Mexico. The river provides an important wildlife corridor between its headwaters in the Green Swamp and protected lands along the coast that wrap the gulf northward to the panhandle.
